FEBRUARY HEALTHY HEART MONTH

February is healthy heart month!  What are you doing for your heart?  Maybe you could start exercising!  Since it's so terrible outside,  you can exercise inside!  Put on a video or go to U-Tube where there are tons of exercise videos.  Thanks to a really good friend I have an exercise Ap called figure 8.  It is a series of workouts you can do at home!  I just completed an 8 minute workout and burned 180 calories!  It was a series of exercises squats and lunges with jumping jacks in between.
Now I can't jump, but do high knees and throw in some overhead arm action!  It really gets your heart rate up, and makes you feel great!  So what are you waiting for?  Get moving right in your own living room!

GET AWAY WEEKEND!

Yeah!!  I had a fun weekend.   I stayed with my girlfriend and we went shopping and had a nice lunch.

We got some really great fish and asparagus for dinner, and we watched" Rudolph" and" It's a Wonderful Lfe."  I actually stayed up until 11!  I arranged everything with the kids for coverage and taking care of my husband.  They went
out , bought a Christmas tree and decorated it.  It was fun for them and one less thing I had to do!  Sunday, I went to church and afterwards my girlfriend and I  worked out to this new ap she has.  It's called figure 8 and it's two minute interval training.  It's really hard and a good workout for only 12 minutes.  We downloaded the ap for me and I 'm gong to start it today!
Anyway, we went out for lunch and then I  came home at 5.  It was a fun and restful weekend!

HOLIDAY RUSH CRUSH!

Why is everyone  in a hurry during the Christmas Season?  I was listening to the news on December 9th and the commentator mentoned "Last minute Christmas shopping!"  Last  minute, it was only the 9th!  Anyway, try not to let all that holiday hype get to you!  I plan on not going to another party until next week.  I need to burn off some of the extra calories from this week!
I will be teaching my aerobics class  this week at the Harwich Community center on Tuesday and Thursday at 9AM in addition to jog/walking, Tabata class and swimming.  We have lights up in the windows and the nativity scene up.  I plan to get the cards started today or at least printed.  Relax it all doesn't have to be done yesterday!  Peace.

STILL THANKFUL

Still continuing on the theme of thankfulness.  I have been praying for a long time for a miracle for my husband who has Alzheimer's, and I was getting pretty frustrated!  Then I finally got that I had to be thankful for every day, regardless of what happened.  So I have been thankful even when I was ready to scream!  I am friendly with a lady who works for Boston Natural Products and she has shown me some scientific facts about brain improvement with her products.  She looked at my husband's blood work, perscriptions and supplements.  She came up with a new plan of supple
ments with a money back guarantee if I don't see improvement in a month!  I am stopping the other supplements and saving some money.  It may be crazy, but even a little improvement would be nice.
I will keep you posted.

THANKS GIVING AND GIFT GIVING

In keeping with the theme of giving thanks and holiday gift giving which is suddenly upon us,  lets

think about giving a gift for health and wellness!  Buy a gift certificate for 10 classes at $80.00.  Or a gift certificate for one or more personal training sessions, starting at $50.00/session.   So for that person on your Christmas list who is incredibly hard to buy for,  who does not need any more
Diamonds, Gold , or Pearls.  The gift of exercise and personal training,  may be the just the right fit.
Thanks!  Mary Ann's Exercise
